Next year I’ll come to Sanya, Hainan, China to attend “GAP XII”, an international conference on geometry and physics.
The organizers said they would have money to cover local expenses for a number of participants, so if anyone is interested in visiting Sanya, please contact them (or contact me if you don’t know them)

This is the list of books that we will order for the Doson School, with their ISBN numbers.
(There are too many books on the subject, and this selection is based mainly on the preferences of the lecturers).
1) B. Øksendal and A. Sulem: Applied Stochastic Control of Jump Diffusions, ISBN-10: 3540140239
2) H. . . . → Read More: Some Financial Maths Books with ISBN for Doson School

We want to buy some books on financial mathematics and bring them to Vietnam for the thematic school in Doson (24/Oct-01/Nov/2011).After the school, these books will be donated to a library in Hanoi.
I need a list of best books to buy. If you have any suggestion, please let me know by writing a . . . → Read More: List of books to be bought for the school on financial mathematics

Yesterday (July 26) I gave a talk at “Poisson 2010” at IMPA. The talk was about the entropy of Poisson manifolds, normal forms (of Hamiltonian systems on Poisson manifolds), resonances, and (non)integrability, and was dedicated to the memory of JJ Duistermaat (who is well-known for Fourier operators and symplecitc geometry, but also did a . . . → Read More: Poisson2010 Rio: symmetry leads to non-integrability !

I’ll have to prepare a talk for this conference. Maybe rigidity of group actions on Poisson manifolds, or maybe integrable systems with globally defined action functions ?
